Flat media is dead. That's why we are always updating our product to make it easier and more intuitive to create dynamic media. A great example of one of these features allows users to embed previously published posts into a new post through our Particle Assembler.
The process is easy to get started. Using the add media bar, first make sure you are filtering for "Posts" using the drop-down menu, as shown here:
Next, search for a keyword or phrase. Assembler will then pull in relevant posts that have already been published. From here, you can select which stories to embed into the article you are currently editing:
After clicking "SELECT," a Particle Assembler will be created in the body of your new post with particles made up of the posts you selected in the previous step. Assembler will pull in each original post's URL, headline, lead image, and body:
Here is a screencast of the whole process in action:
This feature is helpful if you have an ongoing story that requires continuous updates. For example, you could create a new article featuring the latest information on a story, and then place an Assembler underneath the new content to highlight previous related stories.
It's also just a great filler if you need to beef up a piece of content. Maybe you're writing a story about baking alternative flours, and want to include other stories you've already posted about special diets. The world is yours. Happy posting! And, as always, if you have any questions about this feature, please contact your account manager.
