Site optimization on RebelMouse
Our current application uses RequireJS, a JavaScript file and module loader to load the application and its dependencies at runtime. As part of regular audits, our performance team has performed a number of experiments and confirmed that our current runtime approach impacts performance and leads to delays in application behavior in most cases.
This is why we're introducing a statically built application bundled in Webpack, which is a different open-source JavaScript module bundler. This will help to improve Google Lighthouse's "Time to Interactive" and "Max Potential First Input Delay" metrics. Click here to learn more about what those insights mean.
