Understanding the Default Pages

To understand how a RebelMouse site is built, the first thing you need to understand is our concept of pages. Pages are any unique entity within the site. We have both default and custom pages. Default pages are integral components included with every RebelMouse site, as they are essential entities that cannot be omitted.

The following is a list of the default pages in a RebelMouse site:

  • Home Page: It is the frontpage of the site where visitors land first.
  • Post Page (Note there can be multiple live versions of a post page):This is where you can design the layouts for article page. You can customize multiple layouts for different articles.
  • Post AMP Page: Specifically tailored for post layouts optimized for accelerated mobile pages (AMP).
  • Section Page: This pages organize your sites content taxonomy. You can design layout unique for sections.
  • Tag Page: Custom layouts for pages showcasing articles associated with specific tags.
  • Profile Page: Using this layout you can showcase the author details.
  • Search Page: You can control the designs of your search result page.
  • 404 Page: Design your own page when user lands on “Page Not Found” / “404” Error .
  • Entry Editor: Customize the layouts for Entry Editor, enabling multiple layouts to create various types of articles.

Custom pages are unique to each individual site depending on the needs of that site. These can include, but are not limited to, newsletter sign up page, shopping page, listings page, and so on. There is virtually no limit to the design and functionality of custom pages. Once you have mastered the basics of the L&D, you can create anything that your site needs.
